I teach AP Psychology at Brentwood High School in Brentwood, TN. After 32 years of teaching, I still love getting up in the morning and seeing my students. In all those years, it's never been routine, and the school year has never repeated itself. I learn from my students as much as they learn from me. Maybe more.
I received my B.S., M.Ed., and Ed.S. from Middle Tennessee State University, and my Ed.D. from The University of Tennessee. However, I'm constantly enrolled in the school of education--which is life itself. I'm a strong believer in Maslow's theory that we, as human beings, are designed for growth. A growth mindset is one of the greatest things a person can have. That's what gets me up in the morning.
Aside from teaching psychology, I love to hike, read, scuba dive, and I also play bass guitar. Classic rock is my favorite. \m/
